Post Office Burns

Healdsburg fire fighters, with the mutual aid from many nearby fire districts, fought a four alarm fire at the Healdsburg Post office saturday evening. The fire broke out at about 5:20 and was contained nearly five hours later. Hundreds of onlookers watched as the blaze completely gutted the post office but firefighters were able to save the neighboring buildings. The fire appears to have been started by an electrical or mechanical problem.
