Mark Goff and Phillip Engel have purchased the historic home at 227 North Street and have begun the renovation process.  Check out this major step as the “raise” the house to replace the original brick foundation with a more suitable one for earthquake country.  Follow along with Mark and Phillip’s renovations of 227 North St at www.227northstreet.com.

I was raised here in Healdsburg and have watched the city grow and change for many years. Being an editor for this site gives me a great chance to give back to the community that's given me so much. I hope you enjoy the videos!

I look forward to stopping by and meeting you guys – we’re watching this project with fascination, and will love to see the house when you’re done. Welcome to Healdsburg!

Justin and your crew were fabulous videotaping the event and the restoration stages it will be going through. Great excitement in our neighborhood to see another “restoration” rather than a “demolishing” preserving our architectural heritage. Who needs to watch HGTV when we have myHBtv documenting a local project in our backyard…it is great to see our neighbors coming together and enjoying their porches in this great fall season.

Barbara. sounds good to me! It would be great to find a few homes that are doing long term restorations and start a little show like that old house, except maybe “My Old House”. Anyone have any projects they would like to share? Anyone else with some financial support? Lets show off some of what makes Healdsburg great!

Awesome, I liked how well the video turned out. The still camera did a good job capturing the house getting lifted. I bet it was a breeze to edit with all the B- Roll.Great job.

Wow. It’s really happening. How great for the two of you to be living this dream. All of us (your out-of- town friends) are very happy for you and are wishing you nothing but smooth sailing throughout this endeavor. We hope to be up there sometime around the Holidays, visiting family at the beach, so we look forward to seeing the progress first- hand and have you share some stories over a bottle (or 4) of wine. All the best, Robert and Rosh, and all your friends in Southern California.
