The newly formed Science Alliance Club at Healdsburg High School brought in guest speaker Professor Lynn Cominsky of Sonoma State University. Professor Cominsky taught the club as well as many other community members about the abilities that the new Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope offers. The Fermi telescope is able to pinpoint the exact location of many stars and star clusters by the particles interacting with its sensors. If you are interested in learning more about this telescope visit: fermi.sonoma.edu.
